Haiti is one of the poorest countries on earth. In the Artibonite valley NTFP supports the local Alliance For Reforestation And Water Management (AGRE) in their pursuit to protect natural springs and fight flooding and erosion. AGRE maintains several tree nurseries and mobilises the community for irrigation and reforestation projects.
